I came to Tresillian, Petersham, Sydney, NSW in 1982. Straight from the hospital. At the time I was homeless and no family support. I was frightened for my daughter. The medical staff made me feel welcome and wanted. The nurses fussed over my little bundle of joy. They helped me do everything for my daughter and gave me the confidence I needed to carry on. I will never forget my time in Tresillian. We were look after with no judgment and lots of kindness as I was a single mother. From there I went to Banardos, Auburn. Then my journey was long and hard but thanks to the nurses, medical staff and careers of Tresillian I am here today.
