My 3 month old daughter and I have just completed the residential stay at Canterbury today. My daughter was admitted due to sleeping and feeding issues relating to reflux. I was exhausted both physically and emotionally.  I am pleased to say that our stay was a huge success! Not only did my daughter sleep but she also learnt to self-settle.  She no longer uses a dummy and her feeding is back on track. And I finally got some rest! On our way home I was worried that she wouldn’t sleep in her own cot – I shouldn’t have! The techniques taught by the staff work because they were tailored to my daughter’s needs –  she slept for 2hrs for her first nap today! I am so thankful for the opportunity to attend the program. I have learnt a huge amount about my child this week and now have a range of strategies to help support her. The staff are compassionate and encouraging. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was a success. I can’t sing their praises enough. Thank you – you have changed our lives.
